# Contests and concurrent contests quotas

There are two types of contest quotas on Pickaw, each with its own way of working. Quotas are cumulative.

### Contests

**Only applies to contests imported via the [Quick Draw] (/en/article/the-quick-draw-import-an-existing-contest-qjeo04/).

The contest quota is the maximum number of contests that can be imported per **sliding month**.
The notion of sliding month is very important, and is based on the **contest publication date** on the social media.

__Example for a quota of 25 contests / month:__

You can then import up to 25 contests over 31 sliding days (the previous 31 days).
If you've imported 25 contests that all started on the 1st of the month, you won't be able to import any more until the 1st of the following month.
If you've imported 1 contest per day since the 1st of the month, you won't have any quota problems.

### Concurrent contests

**Only applies to contests scheduled via the [Contest Builder](/en/article/the-contest-builder-schedule-a-new-contest-12fqjnx/).

The quota of concurrent contests is the maximum number of contests **running at one time**.
The notion of activity at any time is very important, and takes into account the **start** and **close** date of a contest.

__Example for a quota of 4 simultaneous contests:__

You can have up to 4 contests scheduled via the Contest Builder running at one time.
You can technically schedule an unlimited number of contests, as long as they don't all overlap.
For example, you could have 4 contests per day over 1 month = 4 contests * 31 days = 124 contests.
If you try to schedule a contest that overlaps a period so that there are 5 simultaneous contests at one time, it won't work.
